Four Ways To Start Doing What You Love As A Career

Hello Everybody,

During the month of love, we must not only practice kindness and spread love, but also align fully by doing what we love as a career.

It’s important to consider your interests and passions when considering different career paths or thinking about changing careers. Doing what you love makes you more productive and fulfilled, which impacts other areas of your life as well. Learning about what it entails to do what you love for work and how to start pursuing your passions can help you secure a job or business that fulfils and excites you.

But the question still stands, how do you navigate and start doing what you love as a career?

1 . Consider What You Do Well

As important as it is to do what you love, it’s also important to consider what you do well. It is cooking and baking, administration and management, acting, finances, event planning etc, write down all your talents and consider how they relate to your favorite activities. Then, narrow your list of things you want and do well down to the top three. It is important to do so in order for you to stay true and guided. When you figure this fully and whole, you are on the right path. Your career/business should make you feel good emotionally, both in and out of the office.

2 . Take Steps To Turn Your Ideas To Reality

Once you have figured out your ideas, take calculated steps to turn those ideas into a career. If you love creating content and want to grow an influencer career, invest in the necessary stuff that will keep you on the right path and learn as much as you can. Consider planning out specific milestones. Setting specific dates for when to complete each goal can help you track your progress toward achieving them.

3 . Surround Yourself With Supportive People

As you pursue a career doing what you love, it’s important to surround yourself with positive, supportive people. This can help you keep moving forward on days when you may feel discouraged and feel braver as you pursue your intended career path. This will also help you stay productive and further, you won’t need someone to keep tabs on your work or motivate you to reach your full potential. You will do your best work because it’s natural and exciting.

4 . Find A Mentor

Try to contact professionals in your network currently holding the job/business you want. If there’s no one in your network, use job-related social media sites to identify people who have those positions and do not be afraid to reach out to them, they might just help you figure out your next milestone.

Many people are too afraid to follow their dreams (it’s honestly normal because we are doing this for the first time and scared we might not succeed)  and do what they love. Think about what you would say to a friend or your loved one. Would you discourage them from doing what makes them happy simply because it’s risky? When you do take that leap yourself, you become an inspiration to others. Here’s your reminder to step into that job that you love, take a step to start that business and work on your content strategy as an emerging influencer, it will all work out!
